August 24: We began this morning with a delicious breakfast at the Snow City Cafe in downtown Anchorage. This place was highly recommended by Debbie, and it was great! Beautiful artwork inside. We both had veggie omelet, yogurt with fresh fruit, and multi grain toast. Good service, friendly people. That's Herb in the blue jacket. Temperature: 52 degrees.
That's great you had a breakfast recommendation for the first day of vacation, what a good start! 52 is a little chilly... but much better than too hot. And with those slightly overcast skies you'll be able to see some great colors :)
ReplyDeleteOops. For one thing, the date is August 25. For another thing, Herb is wearing a dark sweatshirt and carrying his blue jacket. Blame it on jet lag.
