Table Art at Eden Alley
We had lunch at Eden Alley a few days ago. All of the tables are works of art, but I was particularly fond of this one. As you can see, it has water lilies on the top, and stems along the table legs.
Below is a close-up of the table top. Kool, huh?

Reflections on a Sunny Winter Day
Last Thursday I did a fair amount of snow shoveling. Several neighbors joined in and we got on a roll. Even though the snow was fairly fluffy, the shoveling was still quite a workout. So on Thursday afternoon I figured I deserved to spend some time in the Jacuzzi at The View.
I took this photo a year or two ago, which is why you don't see snow outside the window.
This is part of the pool complex. The Jacuzzi area is near the big windows. This place is so nice on a sunny winter day, because you get the benefit of a warm, sunny water experience when it's freezing cold outside.
The picture below shows the big pool where I swam laps. There is some natural light from above there as well.

The Snow of January 10
There was a bit of shoveling to do after a day of snow. On the positive side, this winter has been better than last winter--so far, less snow and more sunshine. This winter I have the luxury of not needing to drive on icy streets in rush hour traffic.

Pink Pipe at Cheesman Park
This blogger has been a bit inconsistent about posting recently, and even now is searching through her photo library for something to post. Well, here it is, pink (or is it purple? or azalea?) pipe waiting on the surface of Cheesman Park in Denver. Probably by now it has been placed underground. I can't help but wonder, why the colorful pipe?

Home Improvements
We had some electrical work done in our house. One was getting light kits installed on three existing ceiling fans.
Another thing was getting a new range hood installed over the stove. This is a big improvement over the old one. We also had four new electrical outlets installed, one new phone jack installed, and one existing phone jack moved. In the spring I hope to do some interior painting.

Morning Workout
There's a great community center nearby where I can go to exercise. The south side of the building is flooded with morning sunlight. I'm also attempting to do yoga; however I have a lot of work to do to become halfway graceful at that.

The Bramble Bush Project
Before: This is one of three places in our yard where a mixture of honeysuckle, wild grapevine, and wild rose had taken over. Used to be we kinda liked the natural look, but it had become too much. Besides, I think the neighbors didn't care much for it.
After: I removed this bramble bush area plus two more not shown. Also I took out wild grapevine along about 150 feet of fence. Not only did I cut and pull the growth out, I cut it up and bagged it so that it could be taken away and made into compost. There's still work to be done, removing a maze of honeysuckle roots, but the main part is done. Does it look better? Perhaps a matter of opinion--it's a work in progress.
